I purchased this book three years ago. Two years after the death of my eldest son ( not Sepsis-related ) I began reading it last week and could not put it down. Amanda has not only educated many about the dangers of Sepsis but captured the emotions of all behaved parents, however, their child died. Some parts of the book were like looking in a mirror. My arms ached to comfort, Grace as she was me and I was her. I joined a charity after my son died for bereaved parents called The Compassionate Friends, there I met a lady whose son died of Sepsis. A young fit healthy 23-year-old he died within 24 hours of feeling unwell.
Thank you, Amanda, for breathing dignity into the worst loss we will ever experience. Apologies for a rather emotional review.
