The Story:

As a child, Meg always dreamed of the perfect Christmas...

This year, she can make it come true for her own little boy. There will be turkey and all the trimmings, a glittering tree, and a stocking hung up by a roaring fire. Who cares if there's no devoted husband in the picture? She and Lucas will be just fine on their own.

But then a chance meeting with a stranger in New York unravels everything she's planned. Will Meg finally get everything she wished for? Or will she be alone this Christmas after all?

A Note From Amanda:

Meg played a supporting role in 'A Little Love' and this is her story leading on from that. Set in New York in the run up to Christmas, a chance encounter makes Meg think that she is capable of finding true love. One of my lighter books, 'Christmas for One' is a bit of a 'will they, won't they?' story set in the festive season with the prospect of romance in the air.

Standalone or Series?

Standalone (but features some characters that appear in 'A Little Love' so could be read after that as a sequel.

Reader Reviews:

A very Merry Christmas by Chilli Pepper Em

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 October 2019

I’ve had this book on my To Read pile for quite a few years now. I have way too many Christmas books and only a few short (and busy) months to fit them in, so every year this was getting overlooked as I hadn’t read any Amanda Prowse books before.

This year I’ve started reading Christmas books a month early, and I’m getting my family to choose for me. My husband chose this.

I LOVED it! It was just so beautifully Christmassy. Lots of Christmas books nowadays, are just ordinary books with a few mentions of Christmas, but while reading this, I could hear the snow crunching beneath my feet, smell the cinnamon, and taste the anticipation in the air.

Amanda Prowse certainly knows how to tell a story. I was hooked from the start. I loved Meg and her ‘family’ and felt her happiness and pain alongside her.

I know what’s going on my Christmas list - lots of other Amanda Prowse books ??
